How should an Impact Gel Saddle Pad be Cleaned?

Cleaning the sweat, dirt and hair from your saddle pad is important aspect in extending the life of your pad. Here is how we recommend cleaning your saddle pad.

We suggest using a saddle pad liner to keep your pad cleaner longer, but if you prefer not to, we recommend following these steps.

It is a personal preference as to whether an equine solution is used. If using a cleaning solution, apply it at this time and work it into the pad with a brush lightly.

Second, take a pressure washer or regular garden hose on a high setting (for more water pressure) and wash from the center line out, moving dirt and hair outward.

It is important if an equine cleaning solution is used that all of the solution is rinsed away.

Then, allow the saddle pad to air dry over a fence or chair.
